Dr. John Thambimuttu Gunaratnam
Dr. T .Gunaratnam is the son of Chairman Village council Mr. Jesudasan Thambimuttu and Kannachchi. He was
born on the 7th of April 1930 at Thambiluvil in Ampara District.He completed his education at a Young age as a Medical Doctor in Colombo University and worked in the same university and also in Jaffna University as a lecturer from which he retired in 1987.
He married Margaret Maheswary in 1957. He spent 53 years of happy married life with her. He's blessed with four sons, two daughters, twelve grandchildren, four daughters-in-law and two sons-in-law.
He was a sincere follower of God Almighty. He was responsible for renovating the Thannamuni church, building the Belfry and Pastor's Manse. He also built a Daycare centre for the unfortunate children in
Thonnamuni, Batticaloa.He fully devoted his entire life for his family as a true husband, father, father-in-law and grandfather. He never hesitated to help us in any medical needs whenever necessary. His presence will be greatly missed by all of us.
He entered the eternal life on the 24th of December, 2009 in Toronto, Ontrio.
We pray for his soul to rest in peace.
