John Willis Hennessy-Moore

John Willis Hennessy-Moore, beloved and cherished son of Mrs. Grettie Hennessy and Mr. Lorne Moore and step-father, Doug Lancaster of Red Deer, passed away suddenly and tragically as a result of a work-related accident, doing what he loved most on Sunday, December 5, 2004 at the age of 18 years.

John was born on May 21, 1986 at Red Deer, Alberta. He was a loving and devoted son and a kind, warm and caring young man. John was very bright and was already working towards his second year apprenticeship as a pipe fitter. He had a great enthusiasm for life and worked and played with a strong passion. John always wore a smile on his face that could be seen from a mile away. He loved the outdoors and especially loved mountain biking, playing hockey and fishing with his family and friends.

John, our special gift, our only child, we will miss you more than words will ever express but your love and our treasured memories of you will remain forever in our hearts.
Once in awhile you see a shooting star
We had one in our midst ? Our son, John
Everyone has a picture in their mind of John smiling with those Oakley sunglasses on top of his head.

John leaves to mourn his loss, his loving parents, his mother, Grettie Hennessy and his father, Lorne Moore, of Red Deer, his step-father, Doug Lancaster of Red Deer and his grandparents, John (whom he was lovingly and proudly named after) and Ann Hennessy of Mississauga, Ontario, his grandfather, Willis (Bud) Moore of Rimbey, Alberta and his step-grandparents, Joyce and Don Lancaster of Red Deer. He will also be very sadly missed by his uncles, Philip Hennessy, Richard Hennessy, Noel Hennessy and Dale and Jim Moore, his aunts, Ann, Pauline, June, Margaret, Janet and Jeanette, as well as numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins and many good friends. John was predeceased by his grandmother, Helen Moore and an aunt, Anita Hennessy.
