Mrs. Blanche Marie Perras of Lacombe passed away peacefully at the Lacombe Hospital and Care Centre on November 22, 2003 at the age of 85 years.

    Blanche was born on August 22, 1918 at Crysler, Ontario the only daughter of Elie and Josephine Gregoire. She was married at the age of 16 to William Perras. The couple farmed for many years in the Ottawa Valley area, while raising their 10 children. In 1990 they moved to Alberta and resided near Joffre until failing health made it necessary to move to the Lacombe Hospital Extended Care Unit. In 1995 she lost her husband and soul mate of 60 years.

    Blanche was predeceased by her husband William Perras, her parents Elis and Josephine Gregoire, two brothers Jerry and Roland Gregoire, two sons Phillip and Robert Perras, one daughter Jarmaine Perras, two grandsons Brett and Scott Perras, one grandaughter Joleen Peras.

    She will always be remembered and sadly missed by her children: Jerry (Judy) Perras of Red Deer, Alberta; Roger (Shelly) Perras of Wetaskiwin, Alberta; Ray (Shirley) Perras of Lombardy, Ontario, Morris (Donna) Perras of MacDonald's Corners, Ontario, Oreal (Renae) Perras of Winterville, North Carolina, USA; Jean Perras of Chilliwack, British Columbia; Leona (Jim) Smith of Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia; and one brother Oreal Gregoire of Apple Hill, Ontario, 26 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 1 great great grandson.
